“The idea for this project basically came as I was hanging out with my friend Chuck U, brainstorming my next creative endeavor and he convinced me I should do a mash-up album. Since I rap and make all my own beats for my other projects, sometimes my own production gets over-looked by the rapping so I really wanted something that would challenge me production-wise, but could also showcase my style. After we tossed around different combinations I joked “shit, why not Kings Of Leon and NWA?” and right away the light bulb went on and we came up with Kings Of Compton.”

Bryant Stewart - "I Made This Last Week" EP

Unexpected drop from @BryantStewart! I don't know how to explain it, so I'll let him.

  A good artist should always understand the system of supply and demand , recently I realized I wasn't supplying my supporters as much as I use to. So I decided to challenge myself by attempting to record an EP in one week! It actually worked out pretty good, I had the help of a few homies who came through! Shoutout to Ronn Logic, Shaun Li, Cologero Anello, Amir Patton, Markeisha Simpson, Luko, Willy J, Diahann Bowers, and Danny(DJ-DJ)! I kind of kept this project on the low for the most part a lot of my friends haven't even heard it! I wanted to make this joint as personal as possible, so that you emotionally feel my growth, potential, and lyrics.
   Of course I could've went into an actual studio to record this, but I remember the hunger I had when creating A Perfect Change(from my bedroom). I wanted to create that same hunger within myself again and I actually think it worked ha! I documented a lot of the process to making "I Made This Last Week" which I'll be blogging about shortly after you guys get a chance to listen!
    Once again thank you God, my supporters, friends, and family! I couldn't have done this without yall straight up! To my supporters who have been waiting, after this project I promise I'M NOT LETTING UP ON NIGGAS! Oh and say hello to your local "politician" for me and let them know since they wanna politic a nigga....WATCH THE CAMPAIGN!

Get Familiar: Comeback/!/Music

If you aren't familiar, allow me to introduce. Meet the "new age hip hop collective", Comeback/!/Music. A group of dope artists mainly consisting of two artists, but periodically team up with about 10 affiliates ranging from L.A. to Toronto. To obtain and steady fan base and covering that much ground, you have to be making some good music. And it is evident in their latest mixtape, "What Time Is It".

Overall, this is a pretty nice tape. Some songs reminded me of the Fugees, Arrested Development. The Knux, with a lil bit of Gym Class Heroes, &N.E.R.D.

The group started back in the golden days of Myspace, making beats and networking. Their goal once making music was to bring back the ways of old school hip hop, which were unarguably the best times of music. And they do a good job at it so far. From the great samples, to the smoove lyrics laid over the beats, Comeback/!/Music makes good quality music. 

They are currently in the works of their next mixtape entitled, "This Mixtape is So Indie, You've Probably Never Heard of It". Ha.
